Mouse Embryo Cryopreservation: Please submit a Embryo Cryopreservation request form If the mouse line is maintained as heterozygous, at least 10 stud males between 6 wks to 6 months old are needed. The GTTF will provide superovulated female embryo donors. The users should pick these donors at the GTTF and mate them with the stud males. The GTTF will harvest oviducts and collect E2.5 embryos. If the mouse line is maintained as homozygous, at least 10 stud males between 6 wks to 6 months old and 10-20 females of 4wks old are needed. The female egg donors will be superovulated and mated with the stud males by the users. The GTTF will provide hormones and detail schedule and instruction for superovulation. The GTTF will harvest oviducts and collect embryos. Ten to 15 embryo donors will be used in each session The fee includes retrieving cryopreserved embryos. We recomend 200 embryos to be frozen in 8 vials and stored separately in two liquid nitrogen tanks. If cryopreserved embryos need to be thawed in the future you will need to fill out an embryo transfer trequest form. There will be $50 storage fee per year per line. * If less than 200 embryos are harvested, we will repeat the cryo once at no extra cost.
