Tetraploid <-> ES Cell Aggregation Tetraploid <-> ES cell aggregation is used to generate embryos completely derived from ES cells. The approach provides a quick evaluation of phenotype in embryonic development, for example you can observe knock out phenotype by aggregating mouse embryos with -/- ES cells or transgenic RNAi ES cells (see ref. below). Service description: Please complete an aggregation request form and contact the GTTF for schedule. For the ES cells grown in the GTTF, one aggregation includes pre-aggregation ES cell culture, breeding and housing donor and recipient female mice, housing stud and vas males, tetraploid aggregation and embryo transfer. The fee can be found here. 200 embryos will be fused and aggregated for one line. GTTF will not guarantee the number of embryos because it depends on phenotype and quality of ES cells. The GTTF also provides service for dissecting E6.5 - E13.5 embryos. For ES cells grown at other facilities or labs, pathogen testing is required and is paid by user.
